Bottle made from plants - Cool Change Natural Spring Water bottles are made with Ingeo™ PLA (Polylactide). Ingeo™ PLA is a natural plastic derived from plant sugars.
Plants, an annually renewable resource - Cool Change Ingeo™ PLA is made using an annually renewable resource - plants. Most other bottles used in Australia are PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) derived from crude oil, a diminishing non-renewable resource.
90% less carbon emissions - Ingeo™ PLA uses 67% less fossil fuel to make the resin for it’s bottles compared to a PET bottle of similar size. This results in 90% lower greenhouse gas emissions in making the resin.
To top it off even further, any greenhouse emissions we produce in our production process are offset, to ensure we’re minimising our impact on the environment.
‘What about the water?’ we hear you say… Cool Change Natural Spring Water rises by gravity to the surface through fractured granite rock and is bottled at the source, on Mount Toolebewong high in the Yarra Valley, Victoria.
