The Emergency Decontamination Trailer System is a custom built trailer designed by Fire & Safety Solutions (Int) Pty Ltd.
We can build trailers to your specifications to suit every application.
The only requirement is either engineering diagrams or detailed drawings of what is required and we will do the rest. We can supply the trailer empty or fully kitted as pictured.
The Decontamination trailer pictured next to the Airport Fire Appliance has the following features:
For night-time use, the Trailer has its own built in generator, which powers 4 x 1000watt flood lights, in addition to powering the internal lighting system, the decontamination tent contaminant extraction pump and the tent heating unit.
The trailer has four external lockers:
· Locker 1 First Aid & General Equipment
· Locker 2 Fire Extinguishers
· Locker 3 Personal Protection Equipment
· Locker 4 Emergency location strobes and torches
The rear door has an electric opening and closing system. A special external 12-volt outlet provides direct power to the 3 waterproof internal tent fluorescent lights.
The external lockers contain essential items such as: Re-usable Chemical Suits, Decon Wrist tags, disposable cover-alls, Hot Zone/Decon barrier tape, stretcher, first aid kit and much more.
The internal section of the trailer has a separate corral that holds the Decontamination Tent on its own trolley system and a storage area for the contaminant catchment tank.
The mobile hot water service for the Decontamination Tent, along with contaminated garments wheelie bin, elevated grates, pump, air heater blower, gas air heater, blankets & towels and many other essential items for efficient and effective Emergency Decontamination are also in this section.
The trailer can be powered either by the on board generator or by external power (this also provides top up charge to the internal battery when not in use).
The Emergency Decontamination Trailer System is a single roll out unit that enables operators to have everything that is required within easy reach to be able to perform successful Emergency Decontamination.
